It is with great sorrow and regret that we have been advised of the passing of another valued servant of Australia and the Royal Australian Corps of Signals.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Allan’s family at this time as he reports to his final Commanding Officer.
A fine and honourable man, Allan will be sorely missed by his large family and circle of friends who will be comforted by the knowledge that he is the gentle hands of the Lord.
Allan suffered a heart-attack last night. I have just got off the phone to Pat T-P and she is holding up well with all the family around her.
Julie and I stayed with Allan and Pat whenever we visited Tassie. They were great company and their residence at Kaoota at the top of the Huon Valley was a fantastic place to relax with an open fire and glass of wine.
Funeral arrangements will be advised when known.
