ITS ON -   THE NEXT RASIGS  NATIONAL REUNION IS IN TOWNSVILLE QUEENSLAND 17 - 23 JUNE 2020


                                         UPCOMING REUNIONS/BIRTHDAYS/ANNIVERSARIES DETAILS

 

RASIGS NATIONAL REUNION TOWNSVILLE QUEENSLAND JUNE 2020

After discussions with Lofty Evans and Bruce Long, it is planned we conduct a RASigs National Reunion in Townsville 17 to 23 June 2020.   We need  people to email info@rasigs.com telling us they will come.   We need to see the numbers we can hope for so we can organise catering etc, its all go, so get there. 

146 Sig Squadron Reunion 2017

I would also remind you of 2017 being the Thirtieth Anniversary of the Disbandment of 146 Signal Squadron. It is planned to have the “Beaumaris Dinner” on Saturday 14th of October followed on the Sunday by our normal Corps Commemoration Day service and lunch.   SEE MORE INFO ON TASMANIAN PAGE AND NEWS LETTER

139 Signal Squadron 50th Anniversary    -          Friday 8 Sep 17.

 -          7CSR Regimental parade commencing at 1100h on Duncan Oval, Gallipoli Barracks. Request guests arrive between 10 – 1030. Parking will be available in the Multi-Story car park near Lloyd St entry. We will have the RASIGS Banner for the  Parade.

 -          Parade to be followed by a lunch at the 7CSR Soldiers Club

 -          Former 139 Sig Sqn members invited to attend. They need to notify of their intent to attend and provide full contact details (name, address, contact number) so that Gallipoli Barracks base access can be arranged. These details can be  emailed to current SSM 139 Sig Sqn at peter.johnson@defence.gov.au. Dress for the Parade is Dress Order 2C for current serving members; males - suit with medals (if awarded); ladies – female equiv with medals (if awarded)

-          Former OC / SSMs (if I have been able to find current contact details) will receive formal invitations. If former OC / SSMs could please reach out directly to me on michael.kavanagh4@defence.gov.au so I can get best contact details from them to enable invitation to be sent

-          Also planning for a Cocktail Party in the evening, commencing at approx. 1830h, at the 7CSR Soldiers Club. Need to know of Sqn former members wish to attend (again, they’ll require pre-approved Barracks access). Cost for the Cocktail  Party will be approx. $40, payable upon entry. Dress for Cocktail Party – males – suit; ladies – cocktail dress

121 Signal Squadron Reunion 4 to 9th October 2017

121 Signal Squadron is holding a 65th anniversary reunion to mark   the establishment of the unit in 1952. The reunion will be held in  Singapore from  4 to 9 October 2017. All those who served with the squadron plus family members are invited to attend. There will be a cocktail party getting- to -know each other on the 5th, a formal dinner on the Saturday night the  7th, a memorial service on  Sunday  the 8th at St Andrews cathedral to pay respects to those unit members who have passed away. There will also  be organized tours to places of interest in Singapore and plenty of free time for shopping.

G'day Adam.
7 Sig will be conducting a ceremonial parade, with the Princess Royal Banner, on Nov 4 at 10am.
Following the parade there will be a dedication of a plaque honouring the service of LtCol C.J. Cattanach and a luncheon.
Any intending ex-members who wish to attend should notify me by email or at 375 West Street Toowoomba Qld 4350.
Early arrival for the 10am parade is advised and the wearing of medals is appropriate.
